Lenten Campaign

Today marks the second Sunday of Lent.  How is your Lenten campaign progressing?  Our parish pastor during Ash Wednesday Mass, made it a point to refer to this season as a "campaign" and not a "journey" or a "pilgrimage".  A campaign refers to a battle and that is exactly what we are doing during Lent.  We are battling sin, finding ways to stamp out evil in our lives, and turn back towards God.  We are praying for all of you as we diligently battle these next five weeks to prepare our hearts for His glorious resurrection!

Formation - Piloting Begins

Last month, we touched on how a team is formed.  This month, as we continue our series of "Team Formation", we want to discuss the piloting process.

Every new team within the Movement begins with formation whether they realize they are being formed or not.  In Teams, this is what we refer to as the Piloting Process.  Teams of Our Lady has a very specific pedagogy and methodology for adding new members to the Movement.  This format and teaching is supported by the accompaniment of a trained Pilot Couple.  It is imperative that every new team receive the same information and formation to ascertain that the pedagogy of the Movement envisioned by Fr. Caffarel is continued.

Do you remember your Pilot Couple?  We absolutely remember ours!  We are so appreciative for Chuck & Jan's "YES" to serve and grow the Movement by piloting a new team an hour from their home.  Their "YES" impacted 12 people (6 couples) who have continued to serve each other, our communities, and the Movement in various ways.  On a more personal level, their "YES" has blessed our marriage with the gift of Teams of Our Lady and helped us continue to grow together with Christ at the center of our marriage.  We can't imagine our marriage without the last 21 years of Teams.  If it wasn't for the selfless act of service and an open disposition of the Spirit on the part of Chuck & Jan, we would not be part of this beautiful Movement.

In the USA Super Region, the current piloting materials include a 12-month piloting process with a trained Pilot Couple.  The second year of a new team's existence is without the accompaniment of a Pilot Couple, but with a Liaison Couple or Sector Responsible Couple checking in periodically with the team to address any needs or questions that have arisen.  The USA Super Region needs more couples willing to serve both as Pilot Couples and Liaison Couples.  Please reach out to your Sector Responsible Couple if this is a way you are being called to serve the Movement.  We tell couples all the time that being a Pilot Couple is the BEST role in Teams.

Training is available through your Sector RC and Region RC.  There are also training videos inside the member portal on the website for both Pilot Couple and Liaison Couple.  However, we would suggest attending an in-person training for your first time.  The videos are great for refreshers!

Once a new team begins working through the piloting process, they are welcomed and encouraged to attend local Sector and Region events, trainings, and meetings.  This allows them to experience the larger Movement outside their new base team.  When the piloting process is completed, new teams are invited to attend a New Teams Welcome Celebration in their Region which is the capstone to the piloting process.

Next month, we will discuss the process of rebuilding teams.  Stay tuned...

Have You Registered?

We are striving for all active members in Teams to register with the Member Portal on the website.  Have you registered?  If not, please search your inbox for a personalized email sent to you yesterday, 02/28/2026, with your own unique registration link.  (If you did NOT receive the email, that should mean you are already registered.)  This Member Portal is for members only and contains many valuable resources for your use.  We would like at least one person from each household to register to access this information.

Our goal for 2026 is to achieve total registrations of 4,116 (2,026 more than we had on Jan 1).  As of today, we have 2,419 registered!  Please help us reach this goal and spread the word to your local teams about the importance of registering.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact technology@teamsofourlady.org

Have You Contributed?

Another goal of 2026, is to increase the percentage of contributions to the Movement in the USA Super Region.  For the past several years, 23-24% of the total households have financially contributed.  For 2026, our participation goal is 46%.  In Teams, we are builders of one another's faith life with mutual aid, encouragement, and witness.  One of our membership responsibilities is contributing annually to the Movement.  Although the Movement suggest one day's wage, we are not concerned with the dollar amount, only that as many participate in some way as possible.  As of today, 3.18% of active member households have made a contribution for 2026.  We, as a Movement, must think about building.  Our founder, Fr. Henri Caffarel, made this very clear...

"A movement declines toward death when its members stop thinking like builders and start thinking like tenants." - Fr. Caffarel
