July 2025 Monthly Letter: A Message From The USA-SR Responsible Couple

"Rooted in Hope"

We just returned from Three Rivers, California, where we met with the USA Super Region Team, the USA Super Region College, and 35 Sector Responsible Couples from around the United States as well as Trinidad and Tobago.  We all participated in the 2025 Sector Couple Experience (Training).  Our theme, "Rooted in Hope", aligned with the Jubilee Year theme, "Pilgrims of Hope," to remind us of the necessity of staying rooted in the hope that Christ offers to each of us.  Plus, the "big trees" in nearby Sequoia National Park served as a beautiful example of being strongly rooted.

Sector Couple (2)

At the 2025 Sector Couple Experience, we discussed the importance of forming a Sector Team, how to plan and implement events within your Sector, the importance of collegiality within the Movement, training Responsible Couples at all levels, and much more.  All these items require one additional requirement for these new Sector Responsible Couples to serve well - YOU!!!

When asked to discern about being an information couple, a pilot couple, or a liaison couple, don't just respond, "No, thank you, I'm already too busy."  Really take it to prayer and discern.  Could this be where the Lord is calling you through the ask of another person?  Also, when you are invited to a Sector Event or a Responsible Couple Meeting, please attend.  The Sector Responsible Couple is putting in the effort to help you learn more about the Movement and help you meet other Teams members in your area.  The richness you can gain from new perspectives and shared experiences can only help you grow in holiness, become more rooted in hope, and strengthen your base team.  We have not yet met a Teams couple who does not like to talk about their experiences in the Movement and the practice of the Endeavors with other team members.

For anyone interested in the training topics offered at the 2025 Sector Couple Experience or if you were not able to attend, but are serving as a new Sector Responsible Couple, please view the training videos in the Member Portal of the website.  The videos will be posted soon.

Expanding Our USA Teams Family

On June 22, we hosted a virtual call with two ERI Liaison Couples, the Responsible Couple for the Super Region of Hispano American North, and about 60 couples from Laredo, Texas, to welcome the two existing sectors in Laredo into the USA Super Region.  There are twenty teams (approximately 120 couples) in Laredo, Texas, that have been formed and accompanied by Hispano America North Super Region (i.e. Mexico) since their inception.  Teams began in Laredo many years ago when, at the time, the USA Super Region did not have many resources in Spanish.  They were piloted and accompanied by Hispano America North Super Region.

We recently became aware of the Laredo teams through a Priest Spiritual Counselor from Laredo asking for Teams materials in English.  They are interested in starting new teams in English.  From our discussions with him, we were so impressed with the solid formation of these teams and the community they have formed.  In March, the ERI asked that Hispano America North-SR and USA-SR work together to bring the teams in Laredo under the care of the USA.  We were thrilled to welcome the two Laredo Sector Couples to California for the 2025 Sector Couple Experience, their first experience with training with USA-SR.  We look forward to listening and learning from these Laredo teams as they also listen and learn more about the USA Super Region.  Please help us in extending a warm welcome to Laredo, Texas!
