April Monthly Letter: A Message From The USA Super Region Responsible Couple

Join us as we share thoughts and key insights from the USA Super Region

We are now just past the midpoint of this 2025 Lenten season.  We hope and pray that this season of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving is leading you to a deeper love of our Lord.  It’s not too late to take a deep dive into Lent if things have not gone as you originally planned.  In addition to fasting from desserts, sodas and treats (a hardship for both of us) and feasting on spiritual writings, we are working diligently to prepare for the 2025 Sector Couple Experience occurring this June in Three Rivers, CA.  We, along with the Super Regional Team, will be training those new responsible couples who have answered the call to serve you in your sector.  The theme for this training is “Rooted in Hope” drawn from Jeremiah 17: 5-8.  

“Thus says the LORD: Cursed is the man who trusts in human beings, who makes flesh his strength, whose heart turns away from the LORD.  He is like a barren bush in the wasteland that enjoys no change of season, but stands in lava beds in the wilderness, a land, salty and uninhabited.  Blessed are those who trust in the LORD; the LORD will be their trust.  They are like a tree planted beside the waters that stretches out its roots to the stream: It does not fear heat when it comes, its leaves stay green; In the year of drought it shows no distress, but still produces fruit.”

Please lift these new Sector Responsible Couples, your Region Responsible Couples, and all those who have a part in this summers 2025 Sector Couple Experience up in prayer.  Your prayers and support are felt and greatly appreciated.  

Coming soon to your mailbox will be the Spring Issue of the Magnificat.  We hope you enjoy it.  Included in this issue are QR code links to video testimonies from members of your Super Regional Team.  (You may have already seen some of these videos on the USA Teams of Our Lady Instagram and Facebook pages.)  The theme to these videos is discernment and how each couple answered the call to serve this Movement.  We are all asked to do many things in our faith journey and divide our time accordingly.  We know at times it gets challenging but someone else is there to help.  We hope these testimonies serve as a sign of hope to each of you.  We need Sector Responsible Couples to help local base teams flourish, to keep the Movement moving forward and to continually support the Sacrament of Marriage by being strong examples and witnesses.  We agree with Saint John Paul II when he said “As the family goes, so goes the nation, and so goes the whole world in which we live.” – From his Homily in Perth, Australia on November 30, 1986.  Responsible couples at all levels are necessary to maintain the necessary communication, training, and growth of the Teams Movement.

If you are asked to discern stepping into a Responsible Couple role in Teams, please discern openly and seriously.  How is God calling you to share your time and talents?  Our mission and ministry has long reaching impacts on couples, families, communities, nations and the world.  May God bless all of you in your discernment both now and in the future.

National Mixed Teams Night - August 23, 2025

Please mark your calendars to attend this year’s Mixed Teams Night held virtually for the entire USA Super Region.  This year the event will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025 beginning at 7pm central time.  More information regarding the study topic and Zoom link for the meeting will be sent closer to the date.  Please register to attend by completing this Google form.  We look forward to seeing all of you at this event.

2025-2026 Study Topic 

We are excited to announce the 2025-2026 Teams Study Topic “Love Is Much More Than Love” is currently being translated and will be ready for printing by August.  This study topic is from original French texts of Fr. Henri Caffarel and will accompany the ERI’s orientation for next year:  Called to live in communion with our spouse.  Please use this link to pre-order the 2025-2026 Study Topic for your team.  To reduce printing costs, we will only print the quantity of books requested in the pre-order.  So, if you want a hard copy of this study topic, please pre-order today.
