Call to Service

There are times in all of our lives when we are called by God to step out in faith, to do something outside our comfort zone. That could be in something big or could be in something very small and mundane. When the Holy Spirit prompts us to action, it may be through that still, small voice in prayer, through others' promptings or through scripture. In the Teams of Our Lady Movement, couples receive a call to serve for a time. This service could be for a year as a Team Responsible Couple, for 3 years as a Sector Responsible Couple, for 4 years as a Region Responsible Couple or for 5 years as the USA-Super Region Responsible Couple! In all these Responsible Couple roles, there is some work involved, but so many blessings as well. When we accepted the role of both Sector RC and later Super Region RC, we did not have any idea about the unique experiences we would be a part of and the blessings we would receive from our efforts and work as a couple. In the new issue of the Magnificat, there is an article written by Fabio and Camila Ruggiero Cristino called the “God Call”. Please take it to heart and take to prayer and discern if you are asked to serve the Movement in this extraordinary way. If you are called, know that a unique and spirit filled adventure awaits. 

One such adventure is our upcoming USA Sector Couple Experience. This is the singular National event that is hosted every two years. If you are invited, this is a truly amazing experience filled with sharing, formation, prayer, and connection. Do not let fear of the unknown or uncertainty steal this amazing opportunity from you, your spouse and your marriage!

Letters from the International Responsible Team (ERI)

We are excited to share with you two letters received from members of the International Responsible Team (ERI). The first letter is from Ricardo and Carmen Rodriguez-Marin, Communications Couple and Responsible for Satellite Teams. In their letter, "The Satellite Teams, Those Great Unknowns", they trace the history of the satellite teams and offer pictures of the current teams.  The United States is proudly represented by Gabino and Cristina Cerda from Laredo, Texas.  Thank you for your service!

The second letter is from Fr. Augusto Garcia, ERI Spiritual Counselor, entitled “Ten Years After the Apostolic Exhortation Amoris Laetitia”. In this letter, he explains how, ten years after its publication, the apostolic exhortation "Amoris Laetitia" continues to be a document that shapes and defines the evangelizing mission of families today.
